We are not Centennial Airport, we are not the Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority (the actual governing authority that operates the field), and we have no operating, financial, or advisory relationship with any FBO, flight school, hotel, restaurant, or business described on this site. Where we mention a business by name, it is because it is real and operating in the area we cover - not because it paid for placement. Nobody currently pays for placement on this site.
Why this exists
Centennial Airport publishes what an airport authority is supposed to publish: noise abatement procedures, capital improvement plans, board agendas. That is exactly the right content for that site and exactly the wrong content if you are trying to figure out which FBO has hangar space open this month, or whether the flight school on the north ramp still teaches tailwheel. We started this site to hold the second kind of information - practical, field-level detail for people who actually use KAPA, updated by someone paying attention rather than by committee.
The person behind this site also writes for Gyrocopters.com, another independent aviation reference project, under the byline Sean Michael. The interest is the same in both places: general aviation as it actually works day to day, not as it gets described in a press release.
That means most of what ends up on this site starts as something worth checking in person: calling an FBO to confirm which brand handles its fuel, checking a flight school's current fleet against what its website claims, or driving out to see whether a listed restaurant is still open. Where a call or a visit is not practical, we say so, and we would rather leave a gap acknowledged than fill it with a guess dressed up as a fact.
How we handle facts
Where a fact can be checked against a public source - a runway length, a radio frequency, an airport's published elevation - we check it and we say where the limit of that certainty is. Frequencies and airport diagrams on this site are for orientation only. If you are actually flying, your current sectional, Chart Supplement, and NOTAMs are the authority, not this page. We say this again on the specific pages where it matters, because it matters more there than here.
If you are actually flying a route through or around KAPA, treat every frequency, runway number, and diagram on this site as background, not clearance. Your current sectional, the Chart Supplement, and live NOTAMs are the only things that belong in your hand in the cockpit. This site exists to help you plan the ground portion of a trip, not to replace the documents that keep you legal and safe in the air.

- If you are flying in as a passenger, a charter client, or a visiting pilot who needs a rental car, a ride, or something to do on the ground, the Travel Guide is written for exactly that trip.

Business listings (FBOs, schools, hotels, restaurants) are written from public information and, where possible, direct verification. Businesses change hours, staff, and fuel brands more often than any directory can track in real time. The Marketplace is different
Aircraft, hangar, and office listings under Marketplace are submitted directly by sellers and lessors, not written by us. We review each one before it publishes to filter out spam and obviously bad-faith submissions, but we do not inspect aircraft, verify title, or confirm a seller's claims about hours or condition. Buying an aircraft or leasing hangar space is exactly as much your own diligence here as it would be anywhere else - we say so again on every listing page.
